Art, culture, and sport go hand in hand. I am convinced of this. They have an intrinsic power that reaches us, whether we want it to or not. It engages with the infinite possibilities of our vivid imagination.
It's this power that fascinates me. It leaves no one indifferent.
This exchange is what gives my work its identity and makes it respond to the dynamic interplay of art, culture, and sport in everyday life.
I was born into a family of music lovers, with jazz pianists and musicologists, and entered the Berlin Opera and Philharmonic long before I understood anything about music.
When the wall came down, Berlin had two of everything: opera houses, comic operas, concert halls – paradise on earth.
When I saw that the www.verboo.co.uk agency was looking for translators specialising in classical music, my heart leapt. Baroque repertoire, string quartets, piano, Satie and John Cage, Monteverdi and Debussy, album releases for Warner Classics/Erato, Hyperion new releases or Mozartian liturgies for the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, I enjoy every new project.
I love thrillers and don't miss any Tatort on Sunday evenings. What's Tatort? It's the must-see crime program on German TV on Sunday evenings!
A rendezvous you can enjoy alone or with friends, at home or in a bar. And it's been running for over 40 years!
Podster.app adapts crime podcasts and they were looking for a German translator!
I applied and got the job. Since then, I've been working on true crime, but also on famous historical murder cases, for example. I bet not many of you are familiar with the case of Veronica Guerin!
IA - AI - KI
Intelligence, yes.
Artificial, yes.
In French, English, German.
Each language has its acronym, shaped by its culture.
Like the typewriter, and later the computer, artificial intelligence is a brilliant time saver and a fantastic tool.
We will use it.
Everywhere.
Anytime.
I am excited about Deepl's various AI projects, starting with the prompt project, which invites me to question my humanities, with texts about what culture is all about Depth and Diversity, our thinking.
We moved to Canada.
For me, Montreal was like Berlin:
great, green, and gorgeous.
And we met Mus, Mustapha Terki, the visionary, co-founder of the MEG Montreal, passionate about music, sports, and connections. We worked together, founded a sports film festival, collaborated with the Cinémathèque québécoise and spent whole nights talking about art, culture and football. A man of team spirit.Communicating, translating, editing, improvising, and connecting, with Mus you become a multitasker and you love it!
art and space
When I arrived in France, I quickly realised that art was a universal language. Pictures and works spoke for themselves, and all I had to do was slowly but surely slip into the French words to reap the fruits and feel more and more at home in what would become the language of my heart.
The same goes for music. So it was only natural that I directed my research towards musical artistic expression and developed a real passion for opera set design. Lyrical scenography is the world where space has become experience.
I made it the subject of my master's thesis.
A wonderful memory that I still carry with me today.

This film takes us back to the historic final of the Handball Champions League, season 2002/2003, between the Spanish ogres of Portland San Antonio club of the city of Pamplona, winner of the Champions League in 2001, and the young and ambitious Montpellier Handball club. Beyond the final result and the title won by Montpellier Handball, the return match, played in a melting René Bougnol Sports Palace, is forever part of the extraordinary stories that only sport can write.

Private Sport Shop, 2019-2021
Launch of www.privatesportshop.de
Private Sport Shop is the leader in private sales dedicated to sport. When I arrived at PSS in 2019, the German version did not exist – everything had to be done. It was with enthusiasm that I contributed to the creation and opening of the site to the German market in March 2020.
I translated and adapted the structure of the website, ensured editorial consistency and database management (terminology, glossaries, translation memories). But above all, it was a time with a team of translators with whom every day was a good day! Wonderful memories!

Sport & Film Festival of Montreal, 2005-2009
Coordination of International film & sports Festival
At the origin of the project was the question 'Between sport and culture, do you have to choose?' We didn't choose!
I worked on the coordination of the International Sport & Flm Festival of Montreal, looking for international sponsor- & partnerships, in particular with the Berlin 11mm Football Film Festival, editorial work and the translation of communication files.
It was great fun!

Art and History, 2010
Reflexion about Art and History, World Heritage Curator Competition
How to capture the dynamism that links art to history, history to art? Because questioning art, is questionning history, it's facing time.
The dynamism that brings together art and history could be a question of movements.

The Montreal Project, 2006
Documentary Film Script, UQAM, Montreal, Quebec
It is a film written in two voices.
It deals with the question of identity in Quebec.
It crosses failing memories and puts into perspective the disappearance of men buried in the abysses of History and that of men lost in a society where the absolute weapon is indifference.

Lyrical scenography in France in the 20th century
Master 2 thesis, University of Bordeaux Montaigne
The curtain-raiser effect does not only exist in the world of entertainment. We find it in the world of research. The curtain rises with every new book picked up, every archive consulted, every untraceable document located.
Scientific research is a celebration.
